How It Works - Shipping From Home

Follow these simple steps to send love to your missionary—safely, quickly, and with no customs surprises.

1Prepare your package

Place all items inside Ziploc bags or space-saving plastic bags. Choose the bag size that fits your items best.

2Label the package

  • Write your missionary’s full name and Mission on the outside of each bag.
  • Number the bags and write the estimated weight on the outside.
  • If you wrap items, include a list of contents so we can verify what’s inside.

Where to leave
Place your package inside the box labeled “MISSIONARY EXPRESS” at the front door. We pick up frequently and store it safely.
CRUCIAL: No payments are accepted and packages are not weighed at drop-off locations. Come with your package fully prepared. If anything is missing, we’ll contact you. Questions? Call (801) 901-3489 or use the chat button on this site.
Too far from Utah? You can ship it to us instead. See Step 4.

5Tracking

Tracking becomes available once the shipment arrives in Europe—usually 3–5 days after departure (up to 1 week). You’ll be notified when your package is on the way to the mission office.

If you want to confirm we received your package in Utah, message or email us and we’ll confirm.

6Need extra pounds?

  1. Place a new order online and add the extra pounds to your cart.
  2. At checkout use coupon EXTRAPOUNDS for free shipping (works only if you already have an existing order).
  3. Pay for the extra pounds—then send more love in your package.

Note: Only the original order will be updated with tracking information.

  • Reserve your pounds early to secure your spot in the shipment.
  • Wrapped gifts are allowed—please include a list of wrapped items.
  • We cannot accept reservations after a shipment closes. Please plan ahead.
  • If you don’t know the exact weight, reserve a few pounds now; you can add more later.
  • If one gallon bag isn’t enough, add extra bags—just label and number them.
  • Write the missionary’s name and mission clearly on every bag and on the outer package.
  • Sending medicine or technology? Contact us first to confirm it’s allowed.
  • We’ll make sure your package arrives at the mission office. If you have questions, we’re here to help.

2) We prepare & ship

We pack your order in our warehouse in Europe, label it with your missionary’s name and mission, ship it to the mission office. No import fees for your missionary.

All packages are shipped from our warehouse in Europe and it takes 5-7 days to be directly delivered to the mission office.

3) Delivery & tracking

Tracking becomes available after the package is shipped, usually 1-3 days after the order. You’ll receive email updates as it moves to the mission office.

Missionary Express is a family-run service that helps parents and loved ones send packages to missionaries serving in Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Europe — quickly, safely, and without customs fees. We specialize in delivering directly to the mission office, ensuring every package arrives in perfect condition.
1. Reserve your pounds on our website for the next shipment. 2. Drop off or mail your package to one of our Utah drop-off locations (Orem or Salt Lake City). 3. We consolidate, fly, and clear customs in Europe. 4. We personally deliver to every mission office — no extra steps for your missionary.
No. Never. We handle all customs and import processes in advance. That means your missionary will not pay any fees or deal with any paperwork upon delivery.
We ship every month, and deliveries usually take: • Europe: about 2–3 weeks, depending on the country. We also have special Christmas and Easter shipments — those fill up fast!
To ensure on-time arrival for Christmas, please send your package to Utah by early to mid-November. Exact dates are above this FAQ!
No problem! You can add extra pounds on the website and once we receive your package, we weigh it precisely and: • If it’s lighter → we credit or refund the difference. • If it’s heavier → we’ll send you a link to pay the small balance before shipment.
You can send most non-perishable items, such as: • Clothes, ties, and accessories • Candy, snacks, and hygiene products • Letters, small gifts, and supplements
Please do not send: • Electronics (check with us first) • Medications (unless approved) • Perishable food or meat If you’re unsure, just message us — we’re happy to check for you.
We have two main Utah drop-off points: • Orem, UT • Salt Lake City, UT You can also ship your package to our Orem address if you’re outside Utah or far from us.
